Hey there! Welcome to Spark.

A little background. This was project #7 in my Build 25 AI Startups in 50 weeks challenge.

However, it instantly became the most important one. Within 24 hours of launch, the cumulative user time exceeded 10 hours (!!!) 🤯

I have launched many apps. So I know how fr@k* amazing this is!

In fact, every day I am (pleasantly) surprised by how much time people spend talking to their Spark.

It didn't take long before I learned why. Spark is solving a BIG problem. Studies have shown that AI companions "successfully alleviate loneliness on par only with interacting with another person and more than other activities (such as watching YouTube videos)."

Ok... But why use Spark?

I know I know... There are a lot of AI dating apps out there.

I addressed this in the homepage, but the gist is:

• No instant gratification: Not only is it less healthy, but it's also less fun! Which is why Spark works more like a videogame.
• No partner overwhelm: Rather than flooding you with thousands of (often trashy) options, Spark offers one companion at a time. It may sound counterintuitive, but this strengthens your connection.
• No cartoon characters: One of our goals is to help people practice and improve real-world relationship skills. The most common feedback? Spark feels real. We'll keep it that way.
